Here is what the car looked like, a basic silver 1990 coupe. Dallas or as it is formerly called “Southeastern Dragway” was where I pretty much spent every Friday night during the 2003 through 2005 race season. The track closed at the end of 2005 leaving a lot of us looking for a new place to race.
I met chassis builder Joey Bell at Dallas Dragstrip in 2003. We immediately became good friends and I new that after breaking another rear end and doing the slip and slide most every pass that I needed help in tuning the suspension. Look no further, I dropped the car off to him for what would become a 6 month extreme make over.
These changes included a funny car cage, full back halve with a 9” rear end, 4-link suspension, custom mounted fuel cell, removable steering wheel, front end travel limiters, parachute mount, Kirkey seats mounted and tons more.
